Friday October 16th saw the first ever HUG Gala Dinner & Dance held at The Sovereign in Northcote, Melbourne. Almost 200 people enjoyed great company, delicious food and fabulous music to dance the night away. Everyone who attended had a wonderful night while raising an unbelievable amount of money for HUG.

The crowd heard from Chad Brown about his experiences in Uganda and how even the smallest contribution could make a huge difference in Uganda. Whether it was hearing from him first hand, or falling in love with the faces of Ugandans that flashed passed on the slideshow, the crowd was obviously inspired to give generously. Through ticket sales, raffles, auctions and donations, a staggering $4212.15 was raised throughout the night.

A huge thank you must go to Nina Muhleisen and her small band of support people who have worked tirelessly over the last few months to pull everything together for the event. The night exceeded everyone's expectations in every way and many, many Ugandans will now benefit from their amazing efforts.
