Having returned from Uganda, early in September, with a huge array of new suubi craft, our ever extending band of craft sellers have been spreading their wings in the lead up to Christmas. The handmade craft is being sold by past volunteers, at schools, work places and in markets across Victoria.
Westerners consider the craft to be inexpensive (between $2 to $15) so this has seen more and more people snapping it up. They are realising that buying a gift like this has double the meaning; their loved one will receive a beautiful piece of craft and at the same time they will be helping to make an enormous difference in the lives of the crafters and their families in Uganda.
To purchase craft for yourself or to give as a gift, you can contact Helen on 0407 098574 to find out the closest place to pick some up.
You will find a HUG stand at the following markets in the lead up to Christmas:
- Kyabram Bush Market
- Oxley Market
- Wagaratta Jazz Festival Market
- Moama Market
- Violet Town Market
- Girgarre Market
- Yarrawonga Market
- Rochester Market
- Tatong Market
