October 28th, Huge Climate Change Day Held at Suubi
Saturday 24th of October was an important climate change day right around the world. Over 5200 events were held in 181 countries worldwide with Suubi holding it's very own hugely successful function. For all the details and pictures visit the Suubi update blog.
October 19th, Three Amazing Events Held for HUG
Over the past three weekends HUG has been unbelievably fortunate to have had three amazing events held to raise funds to go towards various projects in Uganda. October 6th, HUG Annual General Meeting
The Hug Annual General Meeting was held last Saturday October 3rd where the Annual Report was presented. We now have three new board members in Sue Neale, Shirlie Baum and Ryley Brown who are all extremely committed and enthusiastically looking forward to the coming 12 months. Welcome to them all.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Kerri Walker-Staalkjaer, Lynne Harmer and Brenton Brown for their involvement on the HUG board over the past 12 months. Their energy dedication and expertise was invaluable during the initial setting up of our organisation. We know they will continue to support HUG and we would like to wish them all well in their exciting upcoming endeavours.
