Become a HUG partner
Since HUG’s conception many new and ongoing partnerships have been forged. People of all ages; individuals, families, businesses and schools are communicating with Ugandans on an ongoing basis. By connecting people on a personal level we have been able to establish friendships that enable us to share ideas and inspirations, and to learn from each other in a mutually rewarding way. Read about some of the fabulous partnerships that have already been formed and how you can become a partner.

Get your school involved
Schools of all sizes and types in Australia are getting on board and forming partnerships with schools in Uganda. The great thing about these partnerships is that schools are able to get involved at a level that suits their particular school. Some schools are simply communicating and learning from each other through writing letters. For others it is blocks of study about Uganda and it’s culture.
Many schools choose to have a HUG representative visit their school to tell students all about the Ugandan lifestyle and how different it is to theirs. Once connections and friendships are made some schools choose to assist their partner school in small ways, while others have held large fundraising events to complete a specific project at their partner school in Uganda. You may get an idea of how your school can become involved by reading about what other HUG schools have been doing, or email us here with your own idea.
Volunteer with HUG
If you are interested in opportunities to volunteer with HUG, please contact us at helen@HUG.org.au and we will be very pleased to discuss any current or upcoming possibilities. This could be something you might do locally in your own area or maybe you would like to volunteer IN UGANDA!!! We are open to all enquires.
Host a fundraising event
HUG would be thrilled to assist anyone interested in holding a Fundraising Event of any size to assist HUG’s work. Simply contact us at helen@hug.org.au and we will be happy to discuss any of your ideas. Perhaps we could even offer suggestions!
